Accept and Acknowledge

Two powerful tools for making creative strides in the world are acknowledgment and acceptance.

They can go hand in hand, but they each have a different flavor.

You can acknowledge something about yourself (that you don’t necessarily like or wish to continue) as true. You don’t have to accept it as a part of you forever. Yet, change cannot come without acknowledging what is.

And on the positive side, how can you expect more and greater things from yourself if you can’t acknowledge the good that exists within you now?

To accept yourself as a human being with fallible human tendencies, wounds that need healing, and that only you have the power to change yourself is to hold great power to shape your future.
