Knowing one’s self and personal intricacies is a complex undertaking. We humans are multi layered. An infinite number of chance encounters, odd experiences, passions and unique skills make us who we are. Time and circumstance making us different flavors.

And so, how then could we ever fear being like someone else? In competition with someone doing the ‘same thing’?  

Our fear is not that we will be too much like them... our fear is that we won’t be enough ourself.   

It takes courage not only to know one’s self, but to live a life in line with our truest desires. Living that version allows us a fuller expression. More rich and varied. If we don’t have the courage to do so, then we’re only living a half a life.
